Job description
The Thyroid Center focuses, among other things, on clinical care and research for patients with Graves’ disease (including Graves’ orbitopathy). You will have the unique opportunity to combine patient care and research related to Graves’ disease within a PhD trajectory.

Work environment
The Thyroid Center at Erasmus MC has decades of experience in both patient care and research and is internationally recognized for its expertise. Research at the Thyroid Center varies from fundamental science, epidemiology, and genetics to clinical studies and trials. Our ambition is to make an impact: an impact for patients and an impact on science. We strive for excellence.
You will be part of a dynamic and dedicated team of researchers and clinicians, with weekly outpatient clinics and research meetings. The research team consists of approximately 15 PhD candidates and 4 senior researchers. The clinical team includes 4 thyroid specialists and a nurse practitioner. There is ample opportunity for personal development through close supervision, and regular social activities are organized to foster team spirit.
Qualifications and skills
You are an enthusiastic and driven professional with a strong motivation for clinical research. Thanks to your social and communication skills, you collaborate effectively, think critically, and express yourself well in an international context.
- At minimum, a completed medical degree (basic physician qualification).
- Fluent command of the English language, both spoken and written.

Terms of employment
- A temporary contract for 48 months.
- The gross monthly salary amounts a minimum of € 3.598,- and a maximum of € 5.669,- (scale 10).
- Excellent fringe benefits, such as a 13th month that is already paid out in November and a individual travel expense package.
- Pension insurance with ABP. We take care of approximately 2/3 of the monthly contribution.
- Special benefits, such as a incompany physiotherapist and bicycle repairer. And there is also a gym where you can work on your fitness after work.
