Job description
ERNICA (European Reference Network for Rare Inherited and Congenital Anomalies) is seeking an enthusiastic starting Project Manager. In this role, you will support the coordination, implementation and reporting of various international projects within the network. You will act as a key liaison between international partners and actively contribute to initiatives in research, healthcare, and knowledge exchange.
You're responsibilities:
- Support the coordination, implementation, and reporting of various projects within ERNICA.
- Act as a central point of contact across multiple projects and working groups, including the ERN patient registry (European Paediatric Surgical Audit – EPSA) and network evaluation activities.
- Coordinate selected ERNICA working groups, including the preparation, organisation, and follow-up of meetings.
- Organise international project meetings with European hospitals and partners.
- Prepare project reports and monitor progress and deliverables.
Work environment
Erasmus MC participates in several European Reference Networks (ERNs), collaborative networks in which centres of expertise from across Europe work together to improve care for patients with rare diseases. ERNICA is one of the 24 networks funded by the European Commission and focuses specifically on rare inherited and congenital anomalies. Within ERNICA, knowledge and expertise are shared to continuously improve the quality of care for this patient group.

In this meaningful role, you will contribute to improving care for patients with rare diseases across Europe. You will work closely with a (Senior) Project Manager and collaborate with international partners within the ERNICA network.
Qualifications and skills
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in project management, research coordination or EU-funded projects
- Completed higher education degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s), preferably in Health Policy & Management, Health Sciences, Human Movement Sciences, or a related field.
- Strong organisational skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach
- Experience with Excel and data management
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- Reliable, solution-oriented and able to work independently
- A team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders, including clinicians and researchers

Terms of employment
- A 1-year contract with the option of renewal of 1 year.
- The gross monthly salary between € 3.598,- and € 5.669,- (scale 10) based on a full-time workweek of 36 hours.
- A salary increase of 3,5% from July 2026, according to the collective labor agreement (CLA)
- Partial working from home is possible, as is working 4 x 9 hours.
- Excellent fringe benefits, such as a 13th month that is already paid out in November and a individual travel expense package.
- An International Office which aids you in preparing for your arrival and stay.
- Pension insurance with ABP. We take care of approximately 2/3 of the monthly contribution.
- Special benefits, such as an incompany physiotherapist and bicycle repairer. And there is also a gym where you can work on your fitness after work.
